Dear Customer,
The new release 1.1 is
available for download.
The Update is released free
of charge to all the registered Customers, without
having to change the License Codes. You can simply
download and install it over the previous release to have
it up and running.
What's new:
- Added the ability
to remove the initial screenshot after
registering your Odbc 4 All copy. This could be
particularly useful when Odbc 4 All is running in
batch mode, without user intervention.
Instructions are included in the html manual.
- Added ability to
use INI configuration files with spaces inside
the file name without having to access them by
the short file name. For example: C:\> Odbc4All.exe
c:\Program Files\odbc4all\MyConfigFile.Ini
- Some combinations
of SQL Servers and ODBC drivers could cause Odbc
4 All to hang when running a query which were
returning an empty recordset if Odbc 4 All was
set to redirect data to a file. Fixed.
Tested with Oracle 9i2 and the latest ODBC Oracle
9i driver.
- Some ODBC drivers
returns numeric fields formatted accordingly with
the Windows locale settings, causing the decimal
separator to be a comma, instead of the dot
standard, so Odbc 4 All were loosing the decimal
part. Now Odbc 4 All can autodetect whether the
ODBC driver is sending the numeric data with the
dot or the comma, correctly reading the numbers
in both cases.
Tested with Oracle standard 9.2.0.1 localized in
Danish.
- Added a new entry -
DecChar - in the [Output] section of the INI
configuration file to export numeric fields with
your choosen decimal separator. This is
particurarly useful when exporting data in TAB
delimited files to be imported in Excel, which do
not allows you to choose the decimal separator,
but wants it as a comma, in some localizations.
- Other minor changes
You can download the new
version from https://www.aswit.com/odbc4all/edown.htm. Your previous
license keys will be still valid.
As usual, your opinions,
comments, suggestions or requests for new features are
welcome.
Kind regards,
Davide Guolo
